算了，不继续评论了。用“不忍卒读”来形容一点都不为过吧，总之是问题太多，经不起基本的推敲。真希望代表新东方的这位译者，好好弄弄，毕竟是代表了新东方，别这么着就把自己的东西给拿出来。另外，相信新东方一定还有高手，比如俞敏洪什么的。

这篇新东方译文的水平，基本上可以说是不及格。我坚信，这个译本不代表那个新东方。原以为新东方的译本会横空出世，译技压群芳，让人羡煞到死。原以为，我几乎能背诵下来的这篇演讲，经新东方一译，会带给我们高水平的中译文，并给大家巨大惊喜。但显然，我失望了。

另外，如果这位译者认为我是在吹毛求疵，那就对了，原因就是你说你是新东方译本了。如果说这是我教过的学生们的译文习作，翻译成这样，我还真挺满足了呢。

假如还有人怀疑美国是不是一切皆有可能的地方，假如还有人困惑于我们的建国先辈们所持有的梦想，在今天还是不是鲜活，假如有人仍在质疑我们民主的力量到底强不强大，（那么）今晚（发生的一切）就是你们给他们的回答。

这个回答是由那些连续三四小时在学校，在教堂，排着长长的队伍的人们给出的，这情形美国历史上从来没有发生过。其中有很多人是平生第一次去投票，因为他们相信，这次一定与以往不同，他们相信自己的声音肯定会与过去不再相同。

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.

It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of individuals or a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.

It's the answer that – that led those who’ve been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day. It's been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.

A little bit earlier this evening, I received an extraordinarily gracious call from Senator McCain. He fought long and hard in this campaign, and he's fought even longer and harder for the country he loves. He has endured sacrifices for America that most of us cannot begin to imagine, and we are better off for the service rendered by this brave and selfless leader. I congratulate him, I congratulate Governor Palin for all they’ve achieved, and I look forward to working with them to renew this nation's promise in the months ahead.
