An article on Feb. 24 about the Obama administration’s determination that the 1996 law barring federal recognition of same-sex marriages is unconstitutional misstated the acronym of one of the advocacy groups that has challenged the law in court. It is GLAD (Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders), not Glaad (the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation).
