I have often said, if a person or state cannot stand on their own, then they should not be standing at all. Were I in charge, this would apply to Israel as much as it does the "Palestinians", or any other state. So yes, it is true, the jews have bilked billions, if not trillions, over the decades from the US taxpayer to subsidize their jew state. On the other hand, if "Palestine" was declared and recognized over night, how do you think they'd fare ? They would immediately need $billions$ to subsidize their population, and would require annual installments for eternity to maintain themselves as a state, elde they'd break down into a sandy Somalia. Some state ! I'd like to see the USA stand back and let the chips fall where they may. Land belongs to those strong enough to defend it. If the jews can hold it on their own, then its theirs. If not, there would be population reducing nuclear detonations in the region before they went under - From my point of view, its win/win. We simply have to disentangle ourselves from the role of eternal guardians and power brokers of the region, we get damn near 0 return on that investment.
